Barcelona is a beautiful city, where old and modern mingle
wonderfully together. Truly one of the best cities in the whole of
Europe to visit, it has something for everyone; especially for those
interested in art and architecture, Gaudi's influence is everywhere to
behold. There is also a wealth of bars, clubs, restaurants providing
excellent nightlife.
There are many places of interest to visit including the world famous
'Ramblas' traditional shopping area, where you can stroll through the
myriad of tiny streets surrounding the main thoroughfare. Barcelona was
the 1992 Olympic City and has the impressive Montjuic Olympic site
overlooking the whole of the city. In addition there many famous
Cathedrals, the superb new marina area complete with a dazzling array of
shops, restaurants and cafes.
Barcelona enjoys a pleasant year round climate.

Getting There
British Airways and Iberia fly direct to Barcelona daily and the flight
time from London Heathrow is approximately 2 hours. There are also
direct flights from Manchester and Birmingham.

Hotel Barcelona Plaza (4 Star) Situated in the business
area of Barcelona, close to the Trade Fair Building and the Conference
Palace in the Ensanche District. Facilities include a restaurant, piano
bar, car park, swimming pool, fitness room and sauna.

Activities
- 'Olympic Games' - held in the Olympic Stadium, teams compete in a
number of different and fun activities. The massive video screen,
electronic scoreboard and sound systems keep everyone up to date with
their moments of Olympic glory!
- Take the cable car that crosses the Old Port to the Barceloneta
fishermen quarter for lunch at restaurant Casa Costa overlooking the
beach.
- Go-Karting competition including training laps, competition and trophies for the best drivers.
- Cruise from Tossa de Mar stopping at one of the many coves to
allow guests to swim in the clear waters. A tapas lunch is served on
board.
- Walking tour of the Gothic Quarter and the famous Ramblas Boulevard, watching the Sardanas dances at the Cathedral Square.
- Barcelona City sightseeing (half day) - to give your guests an
overview of the city including the Olympic Stadium, Las Ramblas, the
Olympic Port (complete with a myriad of bars and restaurants), the
Cathedral and some of Gaudi's famous architecture around Placa
Catalunya.
- Sitges and Wine Tour (full day) - visit the Penedes region
where the largest producers of Spanish Cava are to be found. After
visiting one of the cava cellars where wine tasting and appetisers will
be served continue on to Sitges, a small fishing village, for lunch
followed by time at leisure.
- Rally Tour of Barcelona (full day) - discover Barcelona by
visiting various points of the city where guests will be able to
experience many aspects of the Spanish and Catalan culture and folklore
from Flamenco to wine tasting.
- Bicycle tour of the Gothic Quarter (half day) - crossing the
picturesque sites of downtown Barcelona by bicycle. Perfect for people
of any shape or age.
